Optimized to reflect the most common types of DDoS attacks – volumetric attacks. This type of attack is aimed at slowing or stopping access to the network through overwhelming its bandwidth capabilities by flooding it with huge amounts of bogus traffic.
Conduct an analysis of incoming traffic.
If the preset thresholds are exceeded, for example, the incoming traffic bandwidth is more than 1Gbps or 100kpps, the system begins to filter the IP address.
The DDoS Protection System detects the bogus traffic and filters it. Only legitimate traffic reaches the protected IP.
If the attack is unconventional, or is not of the volumetric variety and the system cannot filter out the bogus traffic, access to the IP is blocked.
The block on the IP will be lifted 5 minutes after the termination of the DDoS attack.
